Cathy Keays and some other WASM members went to see the film called “Cézanne, Portraits of a Life” at the Cineplex Forum. Cathy
says it was excellent: “We got to know about Cézanne’s life and his trials and
successes in painting. The
film was mostly about his portraits, but it also talked about how he was the
pioneer for modern art for painters like Picasso and his abstracts. His
landscapes are modern in that instead of using the classical atmospheric
perspective, he created perspective with his use of different planes of colour.”
