With the blessings of Abenaki elders, artist Sylvia Bertolini gave WASM members an interpretation of some universal wisdoms. Sylvia and her husband Paul Carignan opened the event with a traditional indigenous song.

Song Circles workshop next Saturday as part of Stanstead’s celebration for les Journées de la Culture. We will sing

“Crowning
his 22 years at Christ Church, Patrick Wedd will present his final concert as
organist and music director of the Cathedral.
For this special occasion, he has chosen three works by Stravinsky: The
Mass, Symphonies d’Instruments à vent, and the Berceuse and Finale from the
ballet L'Oiseau de feu. He will be
joined by a chamber orchestra, the Cathedral Singers and many others who have
sung at the Cathedral throughout his years there. This gala event will take
place on Saturday, June 16th, at 7:30 p.m., at Christ Church Cathedral, 635 St.
Catherine Street West (McGill Metro). The concert is free and open to the
public. Free-will donations appreciated".

Art Tour
of the Glen on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Guides in red, Marsha Hunter and Joanne
Trempe, took us on a wonderful tour of most of the 1% art (% of cost of
building the Glen dedicated to art), plus quite a number of other works such as
some originals by Picasso, some Matisse reproductions as well as originals by
some well known Montreal artists (Shelley Miller), some works from the old
hospitals like the statue of Queen Victoria, some works by the staff and
volunteers, as well as many artifacts. The tour went from 2 to 3:45pm.

Yachnin, Tomlinson Professor of Shakespeare Studies at McGill University and
principal investigator of Early Modern Conversions, and Amanda Kellock,
Artistic Director of Repercussion Theatre. This summer's Repercussion
Shakespeare-in-the-Park production is Romeo & Juliet: Love is Love.
